Taharka Bey Hosts Two Programs Highlighting Alleged Scammers and Schemers in the Black Community

Taharka Bey Talks Scammers and Schemers | Sept 20th, 2022​

Taharka Bey hosted a program titled “To many Scammers and Schemers: WHO’s Real?” with the goal of discussing who is and who is not real within the New Black Media and surrounding community. The thumbnail of the video included the following: Yvette, Tone, Umar Johnson, and Tariq Nasheed which led fans of Nasheed to perceive this as an attack.

At the commencing of the program, Nasheed fans immediately descended upon Taharka which made the discussion shift from a community analysis to a conversation specifically focused on FBA and Tariq specifically. Throughout the discussion, Taharka made it clear that he didn’t have an issue with Tariq Nasheed but he did question the merits and importance of FBA as a designation.

He also made it clear that in his opinion, separating from the diaspora was less important than coming together as a community to build, support, and defend the institutions we require. When the FBA proponents were asked what their movement was doing to help the Black community build as a people, they were unable to provide any information and/or examples.

Their collective inability to present anything tangible yielded from the FBA designation prompted Taharka Bey to make a follow-up program asking for clarity from FBA directly.

Too many Scammers and Schemers: WHO’s Real?

Taharka Bey Asks the FBA Community Directly, What is your Goal? | Sept 22nd, 2022​

As a follow-up to his "Scammers and Schemers" program, Taharka Bey released “Foundational Black Americans please help us understand your direction!”. On this program, Bey invited multiple FBA adherents "on stage" to speak to the goals and merit of the movement. Throughout the program, Bey maintained his position that FBA was simply an aimless “feel-good” designation but was willing to be corrected if faced with evidence that said otherwise.

The FBA adherents' rebuttal to Bey's claim was that FBA’s importance is in the fact that it helps identify Black Americans in the USA as a unique people with its own culture and customs. Taharka responded that the motivation is good but if it’s not yielding anything tangible it’s meaningless rhetoric. Unfortunately, the FBA adherents were not able to present anything that showed that FBA moved beyond or is positioning itself to move beyond meaningless rhetoric. This left the Moorish World TV supporters feeling as if they came away with the W for the night.

Tariq Nasheed Issues Warning to Taharka Bey​

After Taharka Bey's “Foundational Black Americans please help us understand your direction!” program aired, Tariq issued a warning to stand down. In this warning, Tariq Nasheed stated that Bey had done some good work in the past but that he [Bey] wasn't ready for Nasheed's roasting.

Taharka Bey Goes After Tariq Nasheed Oct 1st​

Taharka Bey was not deterred by Nasheed's request to stand down and responded by beginning a set of programs titled "Tariq Nasheed Exposed". In Episode 1, Bey stated that:

1. He never attacked Tariq Nasheed

2. He would release videos on Tariq Nasheed for an entire year if Nasheed continues with the hostilities.

The "Tariq Nasheed Exposed" series made it to Episode 3 (Oct 22nd, 2022) before Nasheed made a significant counter-offensive.
